****  Aspen airport runway to close May 2 for maintenance till May 16th at 7:00 AM ***


Aspen/Pitkin County Airport – Beginning Monday, May 2, the Aspen/Pitkin County Airport will close its runway and all taxiway connectors to perform required annual airfield maintenance and repairs. Aircraft operations will be limited to emergency medevac and mountain rescue operations. The runway will reopen at 7 a.m. on Monday, May 16. The airport appreciates your patience and understanding as it continues to ensure a safe and sustainable facility.

Three Airlines, 10 Cities Nonstop, up to 37 Flights Daily
This winter there are more flights than ever connecting Aspen to the world. 

With Delta recently announcing plans to resume winter service into ASE with daily nonstop flights from both Atlanta (ATL) and Los Angeles (LAX), along with American’s recent addition of nonstop flights from Austin and now United’s new nonstop flights from Orange County, winter schedules and capacity into ASE are now fully restored to pre-pandemic levels. Three airlines will offer nonstop flights from a total of ten cities and peak holiday schedules now call for up to 37 daily flights total as outlined below:

• American: Up to five flights daily from Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW), two flights daily each from Chicago / O’Hare (ORD) and Los Angeles (LAX), one daily from Phoenix (PHX), plus new daily service from AUS (Dec 16 – Jan 3) for a total of up to 11 flights daily.
• Delta: One flight daily from each from Atlanta (ATL) and Los Angeles).
• United: Up to eight flights daily from Denver (DEN), up to five daily from (ORD), four daily each from Houston (IAH) & Los Angeles (LAX), two daily from San Francisco (SFO), plus new daily nonstops from Orange County (SNA) for a total of up to 24 flights daily.
Please note that exact future schedules are always subject to change and there will also be further seasonal and day-of-week adjustments.

Located on the western edge of Colorado, 125 miles from Aspen Snowmass, Walker Field is an excellent alternative during busy times of the year and is a shorter drive than Denver International. Colorado Springs Airport (COS)
