The Mountain operations Winter 2021-2022

Aspen Snowmass debuted their winter operations plan in late September, and guest safety as well as continuous access to skiing and snowboarding were named as the top priorities.

Check to see what the Aspen Skiing Company's COIVD-19 protocols are here.

Guest Safety

With newly instituted safety protocols across every aspect of their business, Aspen Snowmass will strictly adhere to distancing protocols, face-covering requirements, capacity limits in buildings, and all recommended health and safety measures this winter. In addition, they have redesigned operating proceedings in ski school, lift lines, on-mountain dining, and in rental and retail stores. New technology will allow for "digital distancing" with many of the processes that formerly took place in person.

Lift Tickets

Guests are strongly encouraged to purchase lift tickets as soon as they have secured lodging and travel arrangements. Advance ticket purchases ensure access to all four mountains and will assist the resort in managing guest capacity and safety as required by state and local health authorities . Volume may be limited at any time and those who have already secured their tickets will be given priority access. It is the resort's intention to have some inventory of lift tickets available to purchase every day of the season, but we urge you to buy in advance for the greatest peace of mind.

Purchase your lift tickets, lessons, rentals and activities directly with us to secure your vacation. You must purchase at least 7-days in advance to  have your Aspen Cards can be  delivered to  your lodging property, or you may pick them up from one of our new contactless Pick-Up Boxes at the base of each of our mountains. Once you arrive in resort and receive your lift tickets, you should download the Aspen Snowmass App to make your trip seamless.

Booking 2021-2022 lift tickets in advance offers one of the best ways to have comfort that your mountain access to Aspen Snowmass for your selected days is as protected as it can be. In the unlikely event that we need to address skier volume, those who have already secured their tickets through advanced purchase will be given priority accommodation (even if advance sales or window sales become limited for future purchases).

Should there ever be a  reservations system implemented,  it will only require passholders to make a reservation but guests who ski on lift tickets will not participate in that system.
